Looking at history simply, you can crack the whip and give them their amounts of food water and shelter, or you can create money and tell them if they work they can get money and use it to buy food water and shelter.
So this is where we are at currently.
Nuts we are creating AI that will think at the same level as the middle management White Collar workers, making them irrelevant. Then you put it in a robot, and it takes all the job of the low level blue collar workers.
