“I snuck past security to find out for myself, to see one of 5 residential tents. Here's the one I entered from a drone. And here's me actually walking through the front entrance on the ground. Here's some decent b roll I shot from the center of the tent looking at the cots.
And personally, my favorite shot, the American Red Cross blanket. Here sitting down on the cot next to the blanket looking left, and now right. Walking further that way, I saw another American Red Cross blanket. As I walked by mostly African and Hispanic single men, I noticed some numbers on the wall. I tried to slow down to get a good picture.
Here's a shot of it. There are at least 50 rows and over 500 cots in this tent. Next, let's go over the security. Inside, I saw Allied Universal. Outside, I saw Arrow Security.
The state of New York also hires guards for this place as well. Here's the Arrow Security Guard trying to hide her ID. They also have New York City Parks enforcement, and they have many NYPD around. That's 5 layers of security. Next, onto the equipment.
There are at least 20 56 kilowatt diesel generators on-site. Most are being supplied by Sunbelt Rentals. There are also many Almond Maxiheat diesel Heaters on-site as well as equipmentshare.comgenerac mobile lighting systems. They're found absolutely everywhere. There are also many mobile restroom units on-site, each with their own water supply.
I saw close to 30 at least or even more. Also, many United Rentals JLG Scissor Lips are on-site, and and in the middle of 10 is 24 hour food service. The estimated cost of all this, at least $250,000,000 a year or just about $685,000 a day. What are your thoughts on the city spending this much money on this? Where would you rather see this emergency funding being spent?”"
