This is a great rant about why apple is horrible for the repair industry, and subsequently the end user. Apple is made record history by being the first one, two, and three trillion dollar company from screwing over the ability to repair products. This is what forces the users to have to go to apple, were they quite literally Rob You by overcharging and over repairing.
There are countless amounts of stories where Apple will force customers to get a motherboard replacement for several hundred dollars, when it literally could have been fixed for a 10-cent part, and a hundred and fifty dollars in labor.
This extreme gross capitalistic Behavior has spread across the industry and convinced other companies to behave in similar fashion. This also removes the ability for anybody to start a repair business, like Mr Lewis here and myself have done. It is extremely difficult to near impossible to do simple repairs that we started our companies on just only 5 to 10 years ago.
