From my research, one may speculate that the entire goal is to limit the ability for people to travel from city to City, state to state, to the upper high class.
We are watching the middle class get eroded out of the United States, and the world, and they are aiming for a world of haves and have nots. The have nots will not be able to afford travel as we know it now, and the facilities to which we use like Gas powered cars today will just simply not even exist.
